Role of a Child Birth Educator
Providing information on physiology, psychosocial adaptations to pregnancy, Child Birth, postpartum, and early parenthood.
Goal of a Child Birth Educator:
At Blissful Mommy Child Birth education classes, our mission is to present to our “parents-to-be” their choices in prenatal care, birth options and post partum care.
Blissful Mommy classes provide mothers-to-be and their partners with all the facts and information they need, so that together with their caregivers, they can make choices about their birth experience and their new lives as a mother and father.
We believe, moms-to-be and their birthing companion deserve an opportunity to explore beliefs around pregnancy, child birth and early parenting.
Here at Blissful Mommy, we only present research-based information on the childbearing year, and we challenge the information that is not research-based. We also vow to increase confidence and dispel fears around the physiological process of labor and child birth and early parenting. Offering learning opportunities that will fully prepare the birthing companion, encourage informed decision making and increase confidence in the parents ability to make the right decisions for themselves and their babies by exploring options, along with support and building confidence, self responsibility and participation in the learning process.
