Role of a Child Birth Educator
Provide information on physiology, psychosocial adaptations to pregnancy, Child Birth, postpartum, and early parenthood.
Goal of a Child Birth Educator:
The goal of the education classes at Blissful Mommy Child is to present to our “parents-to-be” their choices in prenatal care, birth options and post partum care.
Blissful Mommy classes empower couples with information so they are prepared to make decisions about their birth experience and their new lives as a mother and father.
We believe women, as well as their birthing companions, deserve the chance to explore beliefs around pregnancy, Child Birth and early parenting.
We only offer research-based information on the childbearing year, and conversely, we challenge information that is not research based. Furthermore, we promise to: dispel fears and increase confidence around the physiological process of labor and Child Birth and early parenting, to provide information and learning opportunities that enhances the knowledge and skills of the birthing companion, to encourage informed decision making and increase confidence in parents ability to make good decisions for themselves and their babies by exploring options, to support and build confidence, self responsibility and participation in the learning process.
